Recreational Rowing

“Fourteen years ago, a friend and I took a learn to row class on a whim. Today, rowing has become a significant part of our fitness regime. Nothing is more beautiful than rowing on Cayuga Lake at sunrise." – Jess McGee, Masters Rower
BC has a group of masters rowers ranging ages 20 to 60+ who row together  2-3 times per week in the spring, summer, and fall. This group is open to rowers who have completed the learn to row class, experienced rowers, and people looking to get back into rowing after a long hiatus. We attend a few regattas a year, but are primarily focused on increasing fitness and rowing technique.

Recreational Rowing Classes will be more focused on sculling in singles, doubles and quads , and are offered on a "punch-card" system, so  you can attend classes one at a time as fits your schedule and are only charged a "punch" for classes that you actually attend.

To get started you will
a "punchcard" on Icrew. You can purchase either 1, 5 or 10 punches at a time. Each punch is $22. Purchasing a punch card will add you to the Adult Rec Rowing contact list so you will find out about any classes scheduled. After you a attend a class, one punch will be deducted from your punchcard.

For instructions about how to purchase a punchcard and register for a call, click here

You can also view a video walk through of how to register on phone or laptop

You will want to install the Icrew App on your phone.
