- Information for athletes interested in rowing in college
- The past 20 years has seen an increase in the popularity of the sport of crew - especially at the college level. Rowing is evolving from a sport one takes in college, to one that will now help potential applicants get into college. With the introduction of Title IX, the NCAA began to equalize the monies given to mens and womens sports. Rowing, namely womens rowing, benefitted greatly from this. The number of scholarships being offered to women at most colleges has increased. However, so has the competition for these scholarships.
