CBC offers coached programs for recreational rowers, learn to row for new adult rowers and masters membership for experienced rowers. Recreational sculling and learn to row are offered June - August. A current list of learn to row and programs is available here.
Experienced rowers may join CBC as masters members. Qualified masters have access to club boats and can row on their own schedule or with other members. We have a number of master's rowers who compete in prestigious races throughout the Northeast such as the Head of the Genesee, the Head of the Charles, the Head of the Fish, the Green Mountain Head and the Pittsford Invitational.
Do I need to be a member to take an adult learn to row or recreational sculling class?
No, you do not need to be a member to participate in any coached program, including recreational sculling or adult learn to row.
Can college students become masters members and take boats out?
College students who are experienced scullers and pass the captain's test may join for the month or as a student member.
