MAsters Rowing

Whether you are a parent looking to try something new, a college student trying to stay in shape, or a veteran rower looking to auto-qualify at Head of the Charles, CBC has a boat for you! CBC offers coached programs for learn to row,  recreational sculling, and logbook experienced sculling.

Learn to Row Programs
If you are looking to try something completely new or are an experienced sweep rower looking to learn to scull, check out CBC's Learn to Row programs. Under coach supervision, you will learn the basics of rowing in a one-person boat which we call a single for short. Throughout the program you will work up through our stable training singles into a speedy racing single. You do not need to be a masters member to join our Learn to Row programs. Learn to Row programs are offered June - August.

Recreational Sculling
Rowers who are new to sculling can join our Recreational sculling program to get helpful feedback from our fantastic coaches and practice with other masters members. Rowers do not need to be a masters member to join Recreational sculling. Recreational sculling programs are offered June - August.

Logbook (Experienced) Sculling
Experienced scullers may join CBC as masters or student members. Rowers who have passed our Captain's Test have access to club boats and can row on their own schedule or with other members. We have a number of master's rowers who compete in prestigious races throughout the Northeast such as the Head of the Genesee, the Head of the Charles, the Head of the Fish, the Green Mountain Head, and the Pittsford Invitational.
