Daily CBC Boat Reservations.
CBC Boat Sign-out Procedure
As part of your membership dues, CBC equipment is available to paid members. We do, however ask that you follow the procedures and rules below. This page will be updated every day with the reservations listed on the Reservation Board located on the boatbay door in the Singles (South) Bay door.
Rules
-
Be sure to only reserve a shell that is within your skill level to use.
-
Novice scullers must start out in the tubs. These boats do not need to be reserved.
-
Once you can demonstrate to a coach that you have mastered the basics of sculling (steering, docking, bladework), you may then take out the Juliens (Julius, Julio, Juliet, Juniper). These singles, while more unstable than the tubs, are more forgiving than the racing singles. This group may also reserve the Shannon Rae double.
-
Intermediate scullers can move into the racing singles (Vega, Courtney, WORC, Anita) or the Hudson pair/doubles only after being cleared by a program coach.
-
Elite scullers may use the two Hudson singles ONLY with approval of the Head Coach.
-
Some shells are designated for a specific weight class. Please follow these limits, failure to do so will cause undue stress on the shell.
-
The same shell cannot be reserved for any more than 2 consecutive days at the same time.
-
A reservation will expire after 10 minutes if the boat does not go out. It is then open for any other member to use.
-
Between the hours of 3:30 and 5:30 weekday afternoons all the shells are reserved for the Scholastic Program. Any shell that is left behind after 4pm is open for any member to use.
-
Rowers MUST also sign their boats in and out of the LOG BOOK.
Procedure
-
Reservations can be either made through email or on the Boat Reservation Board at the boathouse. No email for same day reservations will be accepted.
